| Art historians, philosophers, poets and composers have long been fascinated by what they often incorrectly term synesthesia. Ironically perhaps the only thing straight forward about synesthesia is its definition. Neuroscientists have confirmed that synesthesia occurs when an individual receives a stimulous in one sense modality and simultaneous experiences a sensation in another, e.g. hearing sound in color. | |
