Art historians, philosophers, poets and composers have long been fascinated by what they often incorrectly term synesthesia. Ironically perhaps the only thing straight forward about synesthesia is its definition. Neuroscientists have confirmed that synesthesia occurs when an individual receives a stimulous in one sense modality and simultaneous experiences a sensation in another, e.g. hearing sound in color.

Sculptor and digital artist Ken Snelson is represented by Marlborough Gallery and has works in collections throughout the world. Snelson will not only discuss his work and theory of tensegrity and years at Black Mountain College, but the complex process of creating and installing outdoor sculpture.
