A Good Laugh
Humor in Art

After this Winter we could use a good laugh: 1 gallerist and 3 artists oblige by finding humor in art.
Moderator: Molly Barnes,bi-costal gallerist, author, teacher, radio personality
Panelists: Mike Cockrill, exhibiting at Kent Fine Art Gallery whose paintings combine the sacred and profane
John Torreano, Professor of Studio Art, Steinhardt School, NYU, Guggenheim Grant winner, has exhibited at MOMA, & Corcoran
Steve Gianakos, whose recent show at Fredericks and Freiser featured x rated and provocative content
Jim Kempner, owner of Jim Kempner Fine Art, and producer of "The Madness of Art" video series, will show several as yet unreleased videos from his series
Organizer: Molly Barnes. She has had galleries in New York and Santa Monica as well as West Hollywood. She teaches at Otis and West L. A. College and is on the radio there. She is also on the Board of the Century City Arts Commission and artist in residence at West L. A. College. In New York City she is especially famous for her hugely popular "Brown Bag" series of artist interviews at the Roger Smith Hotel.

NY Law, 185 West Broadway at Leonard Street, NYC (5 blocks south of Canal St.)
