Leon Golub: "Raw Nerve" Paintings

Currently at the Metropolitan Museum Breuer building (thru May 27) Leon Golub's paintings of heroic figures caught in the socio-political turmoil of the 70's thru the early 2000's speak powerfully to today's political climate.
This panel will pay homage to his vision combining memories of people who knew him with people who today carry on his message in their art and actions.
Moderator: Lynne Mayocole. sculptor, ATOA President, member of the steering committee of Museum A Project of Living Artists (1968-1971)
Panelists will include members of the sudience
who will be invited to share how Leon's art has inspired their own political activity today.

George Day photographer, activist.
An open microphone is reserved for members of the audience. All are encouraged to bring flyers, information sheets etc to leave at the Sharing Table.
